Different municipalities have joined to its fleet some electric scooters Scutum, becoming prescribers of this new model of mobility.
One of the priority initiatives in the Smart City concept is to promote sustainable mobility to achieve improvements in the quality of life in cities.
In this context, and in their desire to remain faithful to their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, different Spanish municipalities such as Gerona, El Prat de Llobregat, Martorelles, Churriana de la Vega, Manlleu, Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, Dosrius and Sitges, have incorporated electric scooters Scutum in its municipal fleet, to promote sustainable driving.
The City Council of Martorelles has been the last to incorporate an electric scooter to its municipal fleet, receiving an aid provided by the Catalan Institute of Energy (ICAEN), achieving a reduction of 30% acquisition cost.
This is the electric scooter s02, A.M.U version, made 100% in Spain, and designed for urban mobility. This model facilitates the daily work of agents of parking meters, general services of municipalities, and meter readers, among others. Another scooters acquired by the municipalities is the s02 police version with all the facilities for local police.
The electric vehicle is an efficient alternative for mobility in cities that contributes to sustainability, to which must be added fuel savings around 80% on average.
Increasingly administrations and companies, both public and private, invest in motorcycles and electric scooters, being an example to follow for the awareness of citizens.
