MGS Seguros acquires 2% of the company Silence, dedicated to the development and manufacture of electric motorcycles in Barcelona, becoming part of the leading company in the sector in Spain.
The agreement, signed in October between Carlos Sotelo, CEO of Silence, and Ramón Vilar, Economic and Financial Director of MGS, represents a new impetus and a clear commitment to the future in favor of electric mobility for the two companies.
With this acquisition, MGS Seguros will accompany other renowned investment partners of Silence, Caixa Capital Risc and Repsol, and help boost the strong growth of the young electric scooter factory. MGS Seguros shows its willingness to actively participate in the development of new lines of business in connected and shared electric mobility.
S01: The most anticipated model
Silence is currently in the final phase of development of its new Silence S01 scooter aimed at the particular customer and which will start manufacturing next March at the company’s facilities in Molins de Rei.
The model for individuals S01 has been designed to facilitate the integration of the electric scooter in the city, thanks to its removable battery system trolley type that, unlike its competitors, allows to transport and recharge in a comfortable and safe way the “Power Battery Pack “Anywhere without having to carry your weight and finish, well, with the barrier of loading points.
The first 500 units of the Silence S01 are already on sale in pre-booking mode and have an attractive promotional package for the first drivers who bet on sustainable mobility.
Mobility connected and shared
With this launch, the company aims to continue leading the national market in the segment of individuals and in the segment of companies and institutions. At the business level, the S02 model is a benchmark for both delivery and sharing. And is that in its latest versions the scooter incorporates new features in terms of connectivity, fleet management and sharing operations.
With the boom of motosharing, more than 2,000 Silence S02 motorcycles cross the streets of Europe. ACCIONA has launched a motorcycle service shared in Madrid with more than 1,000 units of the S02 model; the American shared mobility company SCOOT Networks has landed in Barcelona with 500 units; in Zurich, the Mobility group has started a sharing with 200 Silence S02 and in Valencia, Molo has created a new concept of motosharing with flat rate formed by 300 scooters.
