Scutum and Cellnex Telecom have signed a collaboration agreement for technological innovation and business development in the field of electric scooter connected through the Internet of Things to connect the electric scooters with their owners to have instant information. Based on a joint strategy, this agreement seeks to connect the electric scooter to ensure the proper functioning and improve safety by monitoring critical parameters of the vehicle. Remote access to the operational data of scooter dealer also allows an assessment of the overall condition of the vehicle and makes it easier to provide after-sales service optimally with the stored data. The Internet of Things represents an opportunity for electric vehicles to develop new concepts such as V2V-Vehicle-to-Vehicle, connectivity between vehicles or V2I Vehicle-to-Infrastructure, connectivity between vehicles and road infrastructure to improve safety and efficiency in urban mobility with additional information on road conditions or traffic data service provided by cellular network connectivity via Internet of Things.
