Stuart, the last mile technology platform, has achieved an agreement with Silence to promote the use of sustainable vehicles among its courier partners.
Through Pasmon, Silence’s official service in Barcelona, Stuart’s messenger partners will be able to test the Silence electric scooters and receive technical training once they rent or purchase the vehicles.
Stuart, a company acquired in February by the French company Geopost, operates in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Lyon and London, with expansion plans across Europe. The urban logistics company makes a clear commitment to ecological travel to promote cleaner and more livable cities. For this reason, more than the 80% of their courier partners deliver daily on foot or with clean vehicles, such as bicycles and, now, electric motorcycles, which contributes to improve air quality in cities.
Gilmar Polidorio was the first of Stuart’s courier partners to purchase the Silence S02 electric scooter. All couriers had worked with combustion engines and Gilmar states that the change has done so
“For the environment, noise and economy: you do not spend fuel, or oil changes and also recharging is free in Barcelona. Every day I make about fifteen shipments, about 40km, and I only spend half the battery”.
